My strategy lesson on Dramatic Role Play in the classroom I
think overall went well. Some specific things that went well was we did not
have any problems with the power point, we had enough copies for everyone, even
though there was an odd number it was easy to make a group of three and be able
to give some instruction on how to change the assignment to fit that need. Something
that I would do in the future would be give more directions about what exactly
I was looking for in their scenes because there was a look out questions from
different groups that were similar, and when that happens that means that my
instructions were not as clear as they needed to be. To help with that maybe
have the instructions written out on the back of the article, so that if
students had questions they could look back at the directions and then if they
still had questions then they could ask me. Something else that I would change
would be maybe have another option for the students to express what they had learned
or knew from the article. An unexpected
challenge that I faces was when nobody wanted to act out their scenes, and I
dealt with that by trying to have a class discussion about what they had come
up with for their scenes.
